Teen ACTING CLASSES

If you are serious about acting and ready to take it to the next level, and you are looking for a program that will provide not only acting classes, but all-around training, tools and support for your life as an actor, then you will want to audition for our
CSA Certificate Program - please see  How to Enroll  below.

In Level 1 you will study:
+ Acting Theory from Stanislavski to Hagen
+ Cold Reading, Audition & Interview Technique, and 'About Me' Spiel
+ Selecting, Breaking Down, Preparing & Performing Monologue and Scenes

You will emerge from your first year with professional headshots and demo reel, the ability to find your own work, a formidable web presence, dramatic and comedic audition monologues perfected, at least 25 auditions under your belt (and/or at least 5 jobs booked), an understanding of the business, an organized and scientific approach to your auditions and networking, and much more!

In Level 2 You will go on to study Sitcom Acting, Creating a Unique and Marketable Character, Improvisation, and more in-depth Acting Technique. In all, the Program has 4 Levels, with each level lasting one year.

If you are just looking to have fun learning about acting, but have not decided that you are really going for it, you will want to try our Weekly Workshops.
  No commitment, no homework. Just come as you can, start and stop at any time. Tuition = $25 per class (package discounts available). *Weekly Workshops are included free for all students in the CSA Certificate Program.


How to Enroll in the CSA Certificate Program

1. RSVP to Attend our Free Information Session about the CSA Certificate Program, held once every quarter. Please see our Calendar Page for dates, times, etc.

2. Audition! You may find your own monologue, or we are happy to provide one.

3. You will either be offered placement in the program, or be offered feedback and the chance to audition again for the next quarter.

4. If you are not immediately offered placement, do not be discouraged! Some of our wonderful students auditioned more than once. While you are waiting to audition again, you might want to go ahead and get started with our Weekly Workshops for Teens (no audition required).

  • A monologue book that has lots of monologues that suit you and are from published works. For example: Teens  Adults

Quarter 4 - Cold Reading, Networking & Web Presence
