Troy Horne, Acting for Business Course Creator
Troy Horne, Acting for Business

Now a sitcom and film producer, Troy's career began as a performer. He has starred on Broadway in the musical RENT, appeared on Starsearch, and toured the world as a performer. His original musical compositions and soulful baritone voice can be heard on soundtracks for numerous TV shows and films, including NBC's The Sing-Off, as well as advertisements for everything from Gillette to Pilsbury.  During his career he found himself negotiating performance contracts, both with and without the help of his agent. After multiple failures he decided that it was time to take matters into his own hands and learn how to negotiate with the best of them.

It was then that Troy immersed himself in business training, studying sales techniques, closing techniques, body language, and the art of building rapport.  The further he dove in, the more he found that he was using the same tools in business that he had used to become a Broadway star, or to land a lead role on a successful television show.

Troy was excited to discover that the skills he had carefully and consciously built in his performing career were now beautifully combining with his extensive study of body language and business sales, making it possible to successfully navigate hard-ball negotiations in business deals.  The same tools used to win over tough audiences were successful in creating an immediate positive rapport with business clients, and ultimately led to positive negotiation outcomes.

Troy looks forward to sharing these tools with you! If you are afraid of speaking in front of large crowds and want to learn how to get them on your side, or if you would like to know what your client is really thinking behind the "safe" language, then this course is for you.

What Some Are Saying About Troy Horne:

Sales person is telling the client "I don't trust you." So the client is saying the same thing to the sales person.  Probably will not end in a sale.

Body Language Hints:

Sales person has turned all major arteries away from the client. Signaling a need to protect himself./lack of trust.

Client has crossed his legs mirroring the sales person by protecting/ turning his major arteries away from the salesperson. Signaling I do not trust you.

Client is agreeing with you to be polite but you just did something that made her feel uncomfortable  or said something that she did not agree with.

Open your arms during your conversation to put her at ease. The sale is not lost. Yet!

Many Business people take their pictures with their arms folded not realizing that folded arms is a very defensive stance and says "I am closed off to what you are saying" or "I am superior to you."  Not beneficial to a business/customer relationship.

Unfortunately women cannot smile in business meetings with new or perspective male clients.  When men meet with women who smile and laugh a lot during their initial meeting they tend to not take them seriously.
WOMEN DON'T GIVE UP YOUR POWER!

Her body language (neck exposed and pointed towards him) says I am vulnerable and I am differing to your judgment. Not a strong negotiation move. It will be very difficult for her to recover from this initial impression.

If you are here to learn how to grow your business, then you are in the right place! In this Acting for Business Seminar, I am excited to teach you how you can used the tools I acquired as an actor to grow your business!  I used these tools to land my first television show, win contracts for my music productions and land myself a lead role on the Broadway stage.  I still use these tools today to gain beneficial opportunities for our acting school, our productions, and for our students.  These are tools that every top actor learns to use on the stage and or screen, and they are tools that you can use on the stage of life and business! Great tools like:
  • Listening to your partner or client
  • Keeping the spotlight shining on the customer
and most importantly
  • Interpreting and directing your business relationships by understanding the power of your body language.
Right now your body language is doing one of two things for your business: Growing your business .... or shrinking your businessYou may not know this, but your body language is telling your clients if business is great, or just plain bad.  If you have noticed a drop in your sales over the last few months, it may not be just the economy.  It might be your body language betraying you.  Sharing your insecurities to would-be clients, making them feel insecure and ultimately decide not to close the deal.

Research shows that Body Language is 55% of all communicationThat is more than half of what you are saying or trying to say.  Can you afford to misunderstand over half of your conversation with your business partners and new clients?

I think not! Register today for our 5-hour intensive! Body language explained in very digestible amounts, with specific and doable skills.
  • Have you ever wondered why some salespeople experience a constant sales increase in good economies and bad?
