About  Colorado School of Acting

What is the Colorado School of Acting?
Colorado School of Acting is a Denver acting school, focused primarily on the RECORDED performing arts (film, television, voice over, print work...), with a secondary focus on live performing arts (theatre and vocal performance). Our classes offer students education to enhance their personal knowledge of the acting field.

Who can attend these Acting Classes?
We offer Denver acting classes for all levels and all ages - no experience necessary. You will be offered placement in either our Certificate Program, or our Weekly Workshop Classes, depending on your level of commitment and ability. You will be expected to have a positive attitude, attend a weekly class plus career consultations, do homework, and memorize lines outside of class.

When are classes held?
Almost every day! Please visit the
Calendar page for the schedule. We are on a year-round quarter system, with 11 weeks of class, and then a 2-week break before the next quarter begins.

Where are Colorado School of Acting classes held?
WEST (MAIN) STUDIO: 7500 W Mississippi Ave, Suite B-150, in Lakewood, CO 80226.

SOUTH STUDIO - New Location June 2011:  5730 East Otero Avenue, Suite 600Centennial, CO 80122
(At County Line and Holly, in King Soopers Shopping Center.)
Why is the Colorado School of Acting program different from any other Colorado Acting Class?
We not only teach you to prepare your script and become a character, but also provide you with tools like your
on-camera or voice-over demo reel.

How much does the Colorado School of Acting program cos
t?
  • There is a one-time MATERIALS & ENROLLMENT FEE of $195 which covers your headshots: (hi-res digital files that you can print if you'd like to), plus all your class materials ( your reel production, your Power Portfolio acting notebook with pencils and highlighters, audition log, class notes; your monologues, scenes, and all photocopies). Please note this fee is non-refundable.
  • TUITION is $165/mo for Teens and Adults and $85/mo for kids 9 and under. If you are paying via cash or check, you will need to pay for the whole quarter up front. If you are paying via credit card (automatic recurring debit), you may divide the tuition into monthly payments. If a cancellation is necessary, refund will be pro-rated less a cancellation fee.
How long do your classes last?
  • In the CSA Certificate Program, each of the four levels is designed to take one year (4 Quarters) to complete. Students entering the Certificate Program should plan on completing all four years.
  • Weekly Workshops require no commitment. It is a drop-in situation, where you can purchase just a single class if you would like. Package discounts are also available for a better value. No Registration/Materials Fee required.
  • Some special courses, like Voice Over, require a commitment of 6 months, which is the duration of the course.
How can I get involved?
  1. RSVP to Attend our Free Information Session about the CSA Certificate Program, held once every quarter. Please see our Calendar Page for dates, times, etc.
  2. Audition! You may find you own monologue, or we are happy to provide one.
  3. You will either be offered placement in the program, or will be offered feedback and the chance to audition again for the next quarter.
  4. If you are not immediately offered placement, do not be discouraged! Some of our wonderful students auditioned more than once. While you are waiting to audition again, you might want to go ahead and get started with our Weekly Workshops (no audition or registration fee required).
  5. Any questions, feel free to Write Us or call 720-233-4832.
*The school does not guarantee job placement.  Classes are for personal benefit and growth, and to enhance confidence and public speaking skills.
